Student accomodation in Adelaide

Journal provides different kinds of activities that you can take part in, making it easy to meet new friends and explore Melbourne. It is a perfect place for students, especially if you are new to the city.

Journal is much more than student accommodation! To me, it’s a place to live and grow, where I’ve felt at home. My friends and I have made so many memories here cause the spaces make it so easy to bond and have time together.

One of my favourite things about Journal is how close it is to everything, from UniMelb and Lygon Street to cafés and parks. I also loved being part of the Content Creator Program and creating videos about my student life.

Various events are organised consistently which is a nice way to meet people, especially if you're new to Melbourne/Australia, and the trips arranged offer a great opportunity to see different parts of Victoria and try new things.

My room is bright and comfortable. The building facilities are also well maintained, and the staff are friendly and helpful whenever I have questions. Almost every day you will get the most beautiful sunset which I really love.

Through Journal’s programs, especially the Content Creator Program, I’ve been able to gain hands-on experience in social media and marketing while also having a lot of fun.

What I like best about Journal is the atmosphere, it is always welcoming and friendly. It is designed to encourage community building with multiple communal spaces which have an emphasis on group activities.

I have two favourite common spaces at Journal. The first one is the Gym, since it is downstairs from my room it gives me lots of motivation to go in there and get fit. The second space is the Double Level Study. It has a large window that gives you a nice view of the garden.

The best things about Journal are the people, social spaces and events - I’ve made a lot of new friends through the different activities they’ve put on. Also the location for me is perfect because the City and Uni Melb are in walking distance.

I love the sense of community at Journal, the staff and students are so friendly and welcoming! I was able to make friends within the first few days of moving here. I really like my room, it’s super cosy! There are so many spaces at Journal the best being the rooftop terrace and shared kitchen.

I chose a shared apartment at Journal. Each room has an individual bedroom and a bathroom but we shared the living room and kitchen together. It is good to have roommates and talk about uni days when we cook in the common areas together.

The staff go above and beyond to make sure the other residents and I feel safe and comfortable at Journal. They are always helpful and friendly whenever I need any assistance from them.
