We’re wrapping up the semester by celebrating the moments that made it memorable. From the friendships you’ve made to the experiences you’ve had along the way, we want to see what life at Journal has looked like through your eyes. Share your Journal story in a short video for your chance to win a $200 gift card.

💳 What is the competition

Whether you’ve spent the semester studying in our cosy spaces, joining rooftop events, cooking with friends, or simply enjoying your room, we want to see your Journal story.

This competition is our way of celebrating those stories and giving one resident a little extra to spend however they choose.

🎥 How to Enter

We’re inviting residents to submit a 15–45 second vertical video capturing their life at Journal this semester.
It can be a single moment or a small montage — filmed recently or from any time this year.

A few fun ideas to get you started:

• “Tell us you live with Journal… without telling us you live with Journal.”
• Your favourite Journal memory this semester
• A short “day in my Journal life”
• Montage of study moments, sunsets, events, free food Fridays, room glow-ups, or creative snapshots

Deadline to enter: 20 July 2026, 23:59 (AEDT)

How to Submit:

Submit your video through our official entry form:

• Upload your video file directly through the form, or
• Upload your video to your own cloud drive (Google Drive / OneDrive / Dropbox) and paste the shareable link in the form.

One lucky resident will win:

By entering the giveaway, residents acknowledge and agree to the following:

• Journal Student Living may repost, share, or feature any submitted video across Journal’s official channels, including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WeChat, the Journal website, and other digital platforms.

🏆 How Will the Winner be Selected?

All submissions will be reviewed by the Journal team based on creativity, authenticity, and how well the video reflects life at Journal.

We’ll also consider audience engagement (likes, comments, views) on the videos we repost — though it will only serve as one supporting factor, not the sole criteria.

📣 When Will the Winner Be Announced?

After the submission deadline, selected resident videos will be reshared across Journal’s social channels throughout July and August. The official winner will be announced in July 2026 via our social channels.
