Student Living at its Best

Journal is more than a place to stay – it’s the perfect setting for student life. Inspiring spaces designed for study, relaxation and connection, where new friendships and lifelong memories are made.

Social Events

Journal Explores Camberwell Market

Our Journal Explores trips turn lazy Sundays into proper treasure hunts at Camberwell Market. It's one of Melbourne's best spots for retro, vintage, and preloved finds, with new gems turning up every single week. You get good company, great scores, and a relaxed morning out of the building.

Surfing Trip

Ocean Grove delivered the goods for our latest surfing trip. Some students caught their first wave and couldn't wipe the grin off their face, others showed they were naturals from the very first try, and everyone had an absolute blast in the water. The drive along Victoria's coast was a highlight on its own, making the early wake-up call completely worth it.

Rooftop BBQ

Rooftop BBQ nights at Journal are exactly what they sound like. Fire up the grill, grab a plate, and take in the views from the top of the building with people who are quickly becoming your favourite humans. The vibe is relaxed, the food is good, and the conversations tend to go long.

Harmony Day-themed Journal Connect

Harmony Day at Journal brings the whole community together for one of the year's best events. Students swap stories, share food, and celebrate the mix of cultures and backgrounds that make Journal feel like home. It's one of those nights where the energy in the room says everything.
